Surrender Guidelines
Surrendering an animal is a significant decision. We review every situation individually to ensure the best outcome for the pet and our capacity to manage their medical needs.
Acceptance Policy
Ineligible for Intake
We prioritize animals originally adopted from CO•PAW and pets with treatable conditions that our clinic is equipped to handle. Admission is not open-intake and depends on current resource capacity.
- Kittens or puppies 6 weeks and younger
- Feral or semi-feral cats
- Severe behavioral aggression
- Chronic terminal illness
- Inappropriate elimination issues
Surrender an Animal
CO•PAW operates on a case-by-case basis and is not an open-intake facility. We are unfortunately unable to accept animals 6 weeks and younger, feral cats, animals with severe aggression, chronic terminal illnesses, or inappropriate elimination issues.
